A short tour
Campingpark Isarhorn

Camping between the Isar and the Karwendel

A naturally developed site with open meadows, shaded areas and short routes into the surrounding countryside.

The campsite

Tent, campervan, motorhome or caravan

The campsite has grown with the landscape over many years. Between meadows, gravel tracks and tall trees, you will find areas with very different characters. Some are open and sunny, while others are sheltered beneath the trees.

Tent & rooftop tent

Open meadows, green edges and pitches among the trees offer a wide variety of options. No two pitches are alike.

Campervan, motorhome & caravan

The tracks lead to different camping areas. Levelling ramps can be helpful on the natural ground.

Before arrival

Please arrive only with a confirmed reservation

Our entrance barrier opens using automatic number-plate recognition. Without an advance booking, your registration number will not be stored. If reception is closed, access cannot be activated at short notice.

Choose your own pitch on arrival

We do not allocate a specific pitch number in advance. Motorhomes, campervans and caravans choose a pitch within the suitable available camping areas. From 2027, designated areas are provided for tents and cars with tents; within these areas, you may choose any suitable available pitch.

Look around the available areas

Take your time to look around the areas that are currently available.

02

Check access and ground conditions

Pitches vary in location and ground conditions. Please choose a suitable available pitch within the area designated for your type of camping.

03

Set up with consideration

Set up directly by the selected pitch number. Paths and access routes must remain clear. Leave enough space between you and your neighbours, and make sure our seasonal campers can reach their caravans by car at all times.

The Isar is a wild river

Shallow sections are suitable for paddling. In deeper areas, the current can be strong. Children and dogs should therefore always be supervised near the river.

Water levels and currents can change with the weather and the season.

Good to know

What to expect from the natural grounds

The established landscape shapes the layout of the campsite. This gives it character and calls for a little care when choosing your pitch.

  • The natural ground is not perfectly level everywhere, so levelling ramps can be useful.
  • After prolonged rain, the natural ground can be soft in places.
  • Wi-Fi is available only in limited areas. Mobile reception varies depending on your network and location.
  • A note about the surroundings: A military training area is located nearby. Exercises take place at irregular intervals and may sometimes be audible at the campsite. We do not receive advance notice of the dates. Particularly nervous or noise-sensitive dogs may react to the unfamiliar sounds.

Important route information for caravans

Caravans arriving from Innsbruck or the Brenner Pass are not permitted to use the Zirler Berg road. Please travel via Telfs and the Möserer Berg.
